Vilon — EU research guide.
Vilon (Lys-Glu) is a synthetic dipeptide bioregulator from the Khavinson series targeting immune system tissue. It is studied for immune senescence reversal and longevity in Russian gerontological research.
What is Vilon?
Vilon is one of the shortest bioregulator peptides — a simple dipeptide of lysine and glutamic acid. Despite its small size, it is proposed to penetrate cells and modulate gene expression in immune tissue, particularly T-cell populations. It was developed alongside Epithalon and Thymalin in the same Russian research programme.
What does the research show?
Russian studies report immune restoration effects in aged animals, including increased T-helper and NK-cell activity, and improved thymic function. A long-term Russian human study reported reduced morbidity and enhanced immune markers in elderly subjects over multi-year follow-up. No Western independent replication exists.
