Why PeptideCompare exists
Researchers in Europe had no independent source of information about peptide suppliers. Every site that "compared" was built by a supplier themselves. The suppliers doing the right thing — investing in real lab testing, being transparent about their products — had no way to stand out.
That's the gap we set out to close — together with everyone who wants to contribute to it. As a non-profit, independent initiative, we bring suppliers into view, compare prices honestly, and get to know the people behind them — through real orders, real contact and real products. Just as much, we wanted to give this community a real home — a place to compare notes and find each other. The goal is simple: help quality rise to the top, and give researchers the clarity they deserve. A platform where doing the right thing actually pays off, and where we grow together with the community.
Four levels of certainty
We place a real order or receive product samples directly from the supplier — and through that ongoing contact, we look closely at delivery time, packaging, labelling, customer care and invoice details. Earned through a real relationship, never purchased.
We check that a Certificate of Analysis from an accredited independent lab is on file, and that it isn't older than 12 months. Nothing more, nothing less.
This exact product and batch are independently reviewed for reconstitution behaviour, appearance, and 28-day refrigerated stability. Our highest trust level — currently limited to select products.
Awarded to suppliers who publish batch-specific COAs covering the full analytical panel via an accredited independent lab (Liquilabs or equivalent): identity (HPLC + MS), purity ≥99.8%, assay content (mg), endotoxins (<0.001 EU/mg), microbial safety, and 7 heavy metals (As, Cd, Co, Pb, Ni, Hg, V). Not self-reported — independently cross-referenced per batch.
