Pinealon — EU research guide.
Pinealon (Glu-Asp-Arg) is a synthetic tripeptide bioregulator targeting pineal gland and brain tissue. It is studied for circadian rhythm support, neuroprotection and sleep quality in Russian gerontological research.
What is Pinealon?
Pinealon is a short-sequence bioregulator from the Khavinson peptide series. It is proposed to target pineal gland and neuronal tissue, modulating expression of genes involved in melatonin synthesis and circadian regulation. The tripeptide structure allows cell penetration and proposed interaction with nucleosomal DNA.
What does the research show?
Russian preclinical studies report neuroprotective effects in oxidative stress models, improved spatial memory in aged rats, and melatonin pathway modulation. Some human observational studies in elderly cohorts suggest improved sleep quality metrics. Evidence is limited to Russian-language literature and small studies without placebo-controlled replication in Western journals.
