OS-01 — EU research guide.
OS-01 (Peptide 14) is a senotherapeutic peptide developed by OneSkin, used topically to reduce cellular senescence in skin — the first peptide marketed specifically around a measured ‘skin biological age’ effect.
What is OS-01?
OS-01 is designed to reduce the burden of senescent (‘zombie’) cells in skin tissue, which accumulate with age and secrete inflammatory signals (the SASP). In published trials it lowered skin DNA-methylation age markers and improved barrier function, hydration and elasticity.
What does the research show?
Multiple peer-reviewed, controlled trials — including a 12-week periorbital study and a body-lotion pilot study measuring systemic inflammation markers — have supported OS-01's topical efficacy and safety. It is sold exclusively as a cosmetic ingredient by OneSkin; it is not developed or studied as an injectable or oral longevity compound, despite informal community interest in doing so.
EU legal status
Regulated as a cosmetic ingredient, not a medicine — sold within finished skincare products, not as a standalone RUO peptide. Any injectable or oral “OS-01” sold by research-peptide vendors falls outside its studied and intended use.
